Clearer breaks between notes
- If you delete Gravity or switch phones, your notes come back when you reinstall. Gravity keeps a copy in your phone's encrypted Google backup, updated once a day.
- Each note in your list now ends on a fine rule after its date, so a note with paragraphs no longer looks like two notes.
- Shake your phone on your notes to bring back one you haven’t touched in a month, then rescue it or archive it. Turn it off in Settings → Shake for an old note.
- Gravity now sends usage and crash reports, without your notes or the names of your files, so problems get found and fixed sooner. The privacy policy lists what they contain.
- New list items, checklist items, headings and quotes start with a capital letter, like any other line. Delete the capital and type a lowercase letter, and Gravity leaves it.
- Backspace on an empty list item removes the whole bullet, number or checkbox, and numbered lists renumber themselves when you add an item in the middle.
- The formatting bar adds Italic and Link.
- Archiving or deleting a note from your list shows Undo, and the Undo bar sits above the keyboard.
- Long-press a note for a new action deck: it names the note, shows every action as a tile in the swipe tray's colours, and puts Edit (or Restore, in Archive and Deleted Notes) right under your thumb. View opens any note full screen.
- Swiping left on a note now offers Edit. In Archive and Deleted Notes, swipe left to restore or delete a note; swiping right only rescues notes in your list.
- Archive and Deleted Notes both offer Restore, which puts a note back where it was, and Rescue to top.
- Deleting a single note no longer asks first. Undo is right there.
- Dates follow your phone's language and region, with the same short wording in every list.
- A new text size, Huge, sits between Extra large and Largest.
- Text size has a new System option, now the default, that follows your phone’s text size. The other sizes stay the size you picked, whatever your phone is set to.
- When something can't be saved or moved, Gravity says which note and where it still is.
- Deleted Notes keeps notes for the same time on every device: change it on one and the others follow.
- Fixed Gravity not opening your notes on Android 12 and older. Your notes were safe the whole time.
- Fixed a crash when selecting text while editing notes on Android 11.
- Changing your phone’s text size while Gravity is open resizes everything straight away, including the box you type in and the header.
- Fixed search missing a note in your list when many notes with the same words or meaning were in Deleted Notes or Archive.
- If your phone runs out of storage, Gravity says so and asks you to free up space, instead of showing a database error.
- Uninstalling Gravity from Settings asks whether to keep your notes.
- If Gravity can't open your notes, the error screen offers Save a copy of your notes.
